Can I close the lock without the app if I use a Failsafe Code?

A: Yes, users can close the padlock manually, without the Teleporte mobile application, even if connected latch is enabled.


Emergency override can be used in case a mobile device is not available to lock a padlock. This could be the case if the smartphone battery is depleted, which would not allow a user to use a mobile device.


Follow the below instructions to override the locking mechanism to close the padlock without a mobile device:


  1. Press and hold the padlock button for 42 seconds.
  2. Release the button, the LED will blink in different colours to signal that the shackle can be pushed down.
  3. Push the shackle down
