Before attempting troubleshooting steps, please verify that you are following the Basic Requirements of Opening a Sera4 Lock. If these requirements are met, please follow these steps:
1. Connect an external power source to the padlock using a micro-USB cable. This could be a portable battery for Android phones, a charger or even a laptop.
2. When you open the padlock, please follow the instructions in the attached user guide to Update the Software.
3. Then enable battery maintenance mode by pressing and holding the button of the padlock for 30 seconds. A purple or light green LED will remain solid while maintenance takes place for 24 hours.
4. After the battery maintenance LED has turned OFF, you can try to open the padlock again to validate if the battery has been recovered.
