Identifying a blown fuse on the AX5 Controller

The AX5 controller can be powered from anything between 9v-60v. However, its important to note that the fuses on the circuit board can be blown if the AX5 controller is incorrectly powered or wired. The power cables are as per the below (see more in AX5 Installation Guide)

There are 4 ways to confirm if a fuse has been blown:

  1. When the AX5 controller is connected to a power source (power supply, battery etc.) and does not turn on
  2. The LED light on the AX5 does not come on or displays its colors faintly
  3. Testing a different power source with a different voltage on the same power cable .e.g. if a 12v battery is not working on the Backup cable, test with a 9v battery
  4. Testing with a different power source on the same power cable .e.g. if a 12v battery is not working on the Backup cable, test with a 12v power supply

A sure proof way of verifying this is to test the continuity on either the 12v fuse or +18v fuse. Either fuse is visible once you remove the 4 screws of the AX5 controller lid and the AX5 circuit board is made visible.
